Easter Camp

Leaders will be on site at 3pm. Ventures are welcome to arrive anytime after that. We would encourage Ventures to carshare if possible.

On arrival at Castlewellan forest park, please stop at the warden’s hut and explain you are here for 10th Antrim Scout camp. If your parent / guardian is staying to walk around Castlewellan they will need to pay a fee and display a ticket on their dashboard. If they are just dropping off, no fee is required. It would be beneficial to have your scarf on display to wardens. 

Parents will not be able to drive up to the site. Ventures should be dropped off in the main car park and should make their own way on foot to the campsite. Please ensure Ventures pack light and the majority of equipment contained within one backpack / rucksack.

On Sunday, pickup time is between 11.30am and 12pm. Please pick up your Venture scout from the car park.

Equipment:

• Scout scarf
• Tent (This will be brought by leaders to camp for those who need them. You will need to bring them home to be returned aired and dried by 24th April at the latest. Scouts need these tents for the following weekend.)
• Sleeping bags / mats
• Warm clothes
• Coats
• Sun cream
• Reusable water bottle
• Eating equipment (mess tin / spork etc)
• Small amount of money for a walk into Castlewellan on Saturday afternoon
• Tea towel
• Camping chair if you have one
• Torch

Covid Safety

Hand sanitizer and track and trace procedures are in place during all events. Social distancing will be encouraged.

We would appreciate it if you could take a lateral flow test before camp.
